Jeff Wellington
NJASP's 2008-2009 School Psychologist of the Year

Mr. Jeffery G. Wellington is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and Educational Specialist who has worked in the Hamilton Township School District in Mays Landing, New Jersey since 1992. He has proudly served the students, parents, and teachers of the Hamilton Township Public Schools in varying roles including as a Teacher of the Handicapped, Child Study Team School Psychologist and case manager and as the districts first Mental Health Crisis Counselor. Mr. Wellington has a Master’s degree from Rowan University, a Bachelor’s degree from Richard Stockton College and holds his Teacher of the Handicapped Certification from Georgian Court College. Mr. Wellington is certified as a trainer of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, Second Step: A Violence Prevention Curriculum, and the NASP PREPaRE Curriculum which is a School Crisis Prevention and Intervention Curriculum. He is currently a leader on the committee for a Response to Intervention initiative in his school district and the Chairperson for the “School to Parent Initiative” within his district.
